Q: Why are you at the LMHR festival?
A: "I have to be. I have a voice and want to be put across the positive message. There are people in the crowd who have taken to the music and that's why I'm here—to get the message across.
"There was a wicked vibe out there and I wanted to perform again."
Q: What have you been up to recently?
A: "Last year I started my own record company and now I'm just recording new album. You can expect it still to be Kano but it will be different to the last one."
Q: Have you experienced racism in your life?
A: "Not really. I've not really experienced much racism in the music industry either. I come from a really multi-cultural area and I put it out there and I've never felt neglected because of my race."
