NOW HEAR THIS: DJ Sash entertains the crowd at his Onyx Rooms gig.
DJ SASH took inspiration from his own chart topping hit and showed he could "Stay" out partying with hard dance music lovers on the Rotherham clubbing scene last week.
Musical raindrops were bouncing down on the dance floor at Onyx Rooms as the chart topping DJ performed at a special one-off night of mayhem for clubbers last Thursday. (March 26)
The German DJ—real name Sascha Lappessen—flew into Manchester airport and descended on the Rotherham clubbing scene to perform a two-hour live set which included his smash hits Raindrops, Ecuador and Stay.
He shunned the superstar treatment and chose to mingle with his fans by removing the rope barrier from the VIP area and inviting clubbers to share bananas and drinks with him.
The dance DJ proved why he has been at the forefront of the dance club scene for more than a decade by staying in Onyx Rooms, two hours after he had completed his set, to soak up the party atmosphere.
One clubber said: "The Sash gig was easily the best gig I've ever been to. He absolutely blew people away as to how good he actually was.
"He started with the most awesome introduction mix I've heard in my life. The mixing was immaculate, the crowd interaction was spectacular, Sash's microphone work was impeccable and if you weren't there you missed one hell of a show.
"It was also nice to see that Sash didn't go for the VIP treatment because he just wanted people to treat him as a regular bloke.
"He was one of the politest, most down-to-earth people I've met in a long time."
And DJ Sash was equally as impressed by the Rotherham clubbers who partied away until the early hours of the morning, commenting: "That's one of the best small crowds I've ever played to. I hope they enjoyed it."
